Donate Horses

It takes a special horse to be a therapy horse.  Before a horse goes into our therapy program they go through a careful screening and training period.  In the event a donated horse needs to be retired from our program the original owners have first right of refusal.

What makes a good therapy horse?

  • Even temperament
  • Willing disposition
  • Sound body
  • Even, flowing stride

If you have a horse you think would be a good therapy horse please contact Gwen at 336-276-3974 or email at gwen@horsesforhope.org.
