| Therapeutic Horseback Riding – provides training in horsemanship and therapeutic horseback riding for people with disabilities (physical, mental, emotional, speech, and learning), for persons diagnosed with debilitating or life-threatening illnesses, and for a limited number of able-bodied children and adults. Lessons are designed for the client’s specific needs and focus on skills and exercises to enhance the client’s quality of life. Horse Grooming – provided for those who are unable to ride a horse. Miniature horses and ponies as well as standard size horses are available. Summer Day Camp – provided for school-aged children who are unattended while school is not in session. Lessons (Western & English) – designed for able-bodied individuals who wish to enhance their riding abilities. Competitive Riding and Games on Horseback – a fun way of using the horse to promote a positive atmosphere and to showcase the skills and efforts of disabled and able-bodied equestrians. Driving – a way to enjoy the freedom of the horse, without actually riding the horse, by riding in a horse drawn cart. Miniature Horses – for petting, grooming, showing and hugging. These little guys are perfect for individuals not able to ride or aren’t comfortable up on a horse. Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) – Using horses to help people better understand themselves is based on a unique system called Equine-Assisted Growth and Learning. |
