For those students interested in participating at some local area horse shows

please let your instructor know
so we can get you on our show list.

If you or your child would like to participate in our regular riding lessons please send us an
e-mail with "Lessons" in the subject line of your e-mail.  If the slot you are interested in is full we can put you on a waiting list.  The minimum age for group lessons is 7 - no max.  The following is how we determine which class your child will be evaluated for placement:

General Riding Levels:
Intro           Gait: Walk
                   Goals: learning how to make the horse go, stop, and turn

Beginner     Gait: Walk/Trot
                   Goals: learning how to post, diagonals, half seat

Novice        Gait: Walk/Trot/Canter
                   Goals: learning how to sit the canter and canter leads

Advanced   Advanced techniques in riding

Specialties

Western Barrel Racing
Intro                 Patterns at the walk
Beginner          Patterns at the trot
Novice             Patterns at the canter/gallop



English Equitation (non-jumping)

Intro                 Learn proper equitation on the rail
Beginner          Crossing the diagonal, 20 meter circle, rein back
Novice             Lead changes through the trot, flying lead changes,
                         complex patterns



Hunter Jumper
Beginner          Crossbars-18” verticals
Novice             18”-2’3 verticals
Advanced         2’3 and up



Dressage
Beginner          Intro Test
Novice             Training Level Tests
Advanced         1st-3rd Level Tests












Each rider will be tested at each level before advancing
to the next level - the rider will need to pass a written
test as well as a ground and riding test.  As they advance
to new levels, testing will become more difficult and they
will be required to pass the riding test on different horses
as well.  Please
